The Number One Reason There Aren't More Female DJs

By Star Eyes

The number one reason there aren't more female DJs is that people spend all their time writing hackneyed "thinkpieces" about why there aren't more female DJs.

Why don't you just book them (or bug your local promoter to book them), promote them, manage them, spread the word about them, seek them out, follow them on social media, buy their tracks, remix them, write about their work, talk about them to your friends, and/or encourage them in real life (and on the Internet, trollface)? Or would you rather just moan about it?

There are plenty of female DJ/producers around the world representing all different corners of dance music. And on behalf of us, we would all have more time to create and work on our careers if we weren't answering journalists' questions about why we barely even really exist.
