Familiarize yourself with this budding U.K. star’s soul-quenching, sub-heavy sound.

In the spirit of his chosen DJ moniker, we will get right to the point: London's Copy Paste Soul is not only a super talented producer and straight up music head, he's also an artist worth keeping your eyes (and ears) out for.

After a standout 2013 where Exploited releases like Blink and Look At Me got the high-profile rub from Justin Martin, Annie Mac, Disclosure, Tensnake and others, his breakthrough 2014 was the stuff dreams are made of. Copy Paste Soul's own dreams, namely.

Still a relative newcomer in the trade of dance floor demolition—where he incorporates a love of Detroit techno with the influences of UK garage and drum and bass—the past 12 months have already seen Copy Paste Soul cross a number of accomplishments off his bucket list.

The paramount of them has to be Carl Cox championing his music all summer in Ibiza―no doubt, a star-making gesture. There were also a steady run of domestic gigs at celebrated venues like Ministry of Sound and Brixton Academy, as well as frequent appearances on compilations from Toolroom. He even got a crack at remixing "Who's Loving You" by Welsh DJ High Contrast.

To close out an exceptional year, Copy Paste Soul is releasing the undeniable Our Sound on his 2Swords imprint. The label has recently showcased remixes from the legendary Laurent Garnier and hotly tipped duo No Artificial Colours. With the inclusion of a stripped-back reinterpretation from emerging Dutch beatsmith Man With No Shadow, the forthcoming EP highlights two new original tracks that have quickly found themselves in frequent rotation on DJ playlists worldwide. (Due out on December 8.)

THUMP is pleased to premiere one of those very tunes, the infectious "Move Your Body." Pulling no punches, this seven minute ditty takes Copy Paste Soul into darker territory through sweeping synth licks, sporadic vocal chops and crunchy, distorted drum rhythms. The track is a fitting representation of his left-of-center, broken-house method.
