SHADED Exclusively Premieres “THUMPPP”

...On THUMP.

Since originally writing the main percussion, bass and vocals over two years ago when he was just testing out different loop variations, Skyler Taugher's "Thumppp" has been a long time coming. But it was the feedback that the piece received from venues across the States, Europe and South America that convinced SHADED to produce it into a full track for a possible release.

One of those songs destined to be an attention grabber (it had unofficially become known as "The Booty Shake," after all) from the moment of inception, the Los Angeles resident considers it his first to have been fully inspired by life on the road.

"I would write riffs, percussion lines and vocals in the studio that were inspired by the previous weekends, and when I was traveling, I was piecing them all together on flights, trains and hotels during down time. I think that's why it took a little longer to come out than usual, because I kept changing things and making tweaks on the road to accommodate my live set."

So when SHADED finally put the finishing touches on a few accompanying recordings ("Dwell" and "Incepted") to complete the Dwell EP with "Thumppp," he fired them over to the Sci + Tec label boss Dubfire, who wisely didn't hesitate a moment longer to release them.

An organic process indeed, "Thumppp" and its supporting numbers have since been lighting up the international circuit that SHADED frequents, moving crowds in a variety of different contexts. "Whether it's main room pumping techno or deep and dirty after-hours, I think these jams can find their place in the mix! I hope everyone enjoys it!"

Here at THUMP we believe we can take the liberty for "Thumppp" when we say: will they ever.

The Dwell EP is officially released May 8 on Beatport and on iTunes on June 6.
