Around The World in 80 Raves takes you into the basements, warehouses, and back rooms where the magic happens—from Caracas to Calgary and back.

WHATS THE DEAL THO: "We try to bring the Internet alive at our party," says resident DJ Neuport of Minneapolis' Tumblr inspired, pizza obsessed, monthly party. Nothing like other local happenings, Wak Lyf has always taken risks, and brought many artists out for some of their first performances. Never taking themselves too seriously, previous parties have been titled "Taco Ball" and "Call of Booty."

Residents Triple Six Sound Club and Tennis Rodman have become fixtures in the community and receive Internet love nationwide. Branding the party with memes and net art, the party is constantly #trending and evolving.

With hosts like Molly Soda and performances by Zombelle and Ultrademon, Wak Lyf is sitting high atop the post-seapunk, post-art school wave that's popular amoung "the youths" these days. "Minneapolis is not my favorite place to party," says Neuport, "but we are lucky to have something like this and we've gotten an amazing response! Life can be whack sometimes, that's why we do what we do!"

UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT: "Playing with Lil B was very memorable (for some of us who actually remember). He stopped the whole show because someone took his sunglasses. Later he got them back and everything was #BASED."
