Check Out the Orchestral Highs of Redlight's Latest Album Cut "Threshold"

A taste of what we can expect from the Bristol producer's upcoming debut album.

Ahead of the release of his debut album X Colour, Bristol boy Redlight has done us a solid and sent the latest taste of what we can expect from his LP in the shape of "Threshold". The track just premiered as Annie Mac's 'Hottest Record in the World', and now that we've been sent the exclusive stream — it is easy to see why. Given his influences and sounds have ranged everywhere from reggae, to the dancehall, to grime, to R&B, to house; there is something surprisingly, and refreshingly, sweeping about "Threshold". Yes, there's a main-room quality to it, but more than anything the track is a gorgeous, glorious slab of pop-informed club music. Recorded with a twelve piece orchestra, and featuring a soaring vocal performance from Melisa Whiskey, this first taste of the album has got us intrigued as to what else is on the way.
