Thank Future Times for Brightening Up Your Day with a Cut From Upcoming Compilation 'Vibe 3'

OV's "Junk Funk" is sweltering, stuttering balmy bliss for the heads out there

God, Tuesdays, eh? Tuesday. It's not quite as bad as Monday but it's not as good as a Wednesday. Nothing exciting ever really happens on Tuesdays. Tuesdays are for putzing around your bedroom half-listening to records while thinking about making a half-decent risotto for settling on a half-baked jacket potato instead. If Tuesdays were a colour they'd be off-white. If Tuesdays were a person they'd be Les Dennis. Tuesdays: they aren't great.

Still, the laws of statistics mean that every so often something decent has to happen on a Tuesday. This is one of those Tuesdays. Praise be to Maximilian Dunbar and his fantastic Future Times label.

Dunbar's a DJ and producer who happily hops across boundaries and genres — he's as likely to play some super rare obscuro jazz fusion jammer as he is a club ready deep house cut, and his label is similarly eclectic. Vibe 3, a three part compilation series set for release in September, was announced earlier this week and just now Dunbar took to Twitter to unveil a track from it. OV's balmy "Junk Funk" has got us reaching for the Soltan already. Sweltering, stuttering balmy bliss for the heads out there.
