We're Having a Bonfire On Toronto Island This Week

Ah, Toronto summer. Heralded by humidity that saran wraps your body and this little thing called North by Northeast. Just like every year it's already "too hot" by June and yup, just like every year we're promising pretty much the best event in the ever-growing slew of kinda-music-related-maybe-just-a-bad-DJ-a-lot-of-people-with-lanyards-and-"haircuts" events.

Instead of trying to find a venue with "a patio" we opted to go for one that has a lot of that plus a beach and a lake and a bonfire - the Toronto Island. Smith Westerns are gonna play, along with Dusted, at Artscape Gibraltar Point, and all you have to do is RSVP here. Also included is a free ferry ride over there and back, tacos and refreshments, and a humbling sense of smallness as the sun dips behind the CN Tower like the Toronto Raptor was dunking it himself.
