Watch Little Boots' Video for "Satellite"

A kid in diamante-spangled Lyrca shows us how it's done.

Even though most of us would like to move through life at warp speed because it would help get shit done, fast, the world looks so much prettier when everything is in slo-mo. In the video for Little Boots' latest single, "Satellite," from this year's Nocturnes, an impossibly flexible dancing child in bejeweled Lycra high kicks and hair flicks her way across an ornate room, her movements captured in varying frames per second. Meanwhile, Boots sits elegantly ignoring her from behind an organ, like she's secretly orchestrating everything. And she kinda is. Shot at Blackpool Tower Ballroom—in the singer's hometown—it's Boots' first foray into co-directing, and it perfectly complements the tune's dreamy disco euphoria. It's also another reminder that producer Ariel Reichstadt, who collaborated with her on this track, is completely inescapable: Vampire Weekend, Solange, Sky Ferreira, Haim, Major Lazer, jeez. Can't stop, won't stop.
