There's a certain layer of musk surrounding the start of this new vid from Maribou State. Where I'm from, we don't see much wildlife apart from the odd pigeon or trips to Mudchute Farm/Epping Forest if you're lucky, but this trip-hoppy number can be my Attenborough."Tongue" descends into a seductively shadowy tug-of-war between jazz and electronica during its four and a half minute duration. Beautifully rustic and ethereal, it thrives off of a brooding soundscape while Holly Walker's songbird tones tip-toe on top."Tongue" comes from Maribou State's Tongue EP which is available from June 10 via Southern Fried Records alongside remixes from James Welsh and Drew Hill.
