What’s the deal with Joy Orbison? Wasn’t it only the other year that he dropped the latter part of his name in favour of the more sublime Joy O? Either way, he’s back under the much more pun-friendly moniker of Joy Orbison and seems ever intent on producing vertigo-inducing panic house tracks.When I first heard "Hyph Mngo", I shivered and writhed around on the floor. His new track, with Boddika, is more of the same. Nervous-upon-nervous loop piled on top of each other, until endorphine coated grooves elbow their way through, ALL before a big fat fog-horn pushes the track towards it's panic attack crescendo. Look, what I'm trying to say is, it's good.
