Yolanda Be Cool Release Brooding Beast of a Remix for Sweat It Out

Coming soon to a dimly-lit Berlin club near you.

Over the past year and a half, Yolanda Be Cool has made serious strides in convincing that "We No Speak Americano." When they first announced an "international product recall" of the hit single I brushed the whole thing off as a gimmick. Then, they released the sultry, whirring jam, "Change" featuring Nola Darling. Next, "Before Midnight" and the Angger Dimas remix hit SoundCloud just as we were getting ready for summer festivals, and I had to admit that I was impressed. It wasn't until their collaboration with famed Aboriginal singer Gurrumul, however, that I was persuaded that the Australian duo were truly making the music that they wanted to make, regardless of the current musical climate.

I've been keeping a close eye on them ever since (especially a close eye on the label they co-run, Sweat It Out) and my patience has been rewarded with the absolute epitome of a serious tune. Their flip of Perth trio Crooked Colours' "Come Down" draws parallels to the best that Gesaffelstein and the Bromance crew have to offer, and is a brooding beast of a club tune.

The Come Down EP is an Australian release through Sweat It Out with additional remixes by Alison Wonderland, Jesse Rose, and Wordlife and you can expect to hear it stateside "sooner than later."
