Vogue Queens, Bonebreakers, and More Photos from Bounce Ballroom in NYC

On Thursday night, RBMA celebrated the Tristate area's finest urban dance forms at Bounce Ballroom in Brooklyn.

Last night in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the Red Bull Music Academy launched its monthlong event series with a celebration of urban dance styles from across the Tri-State Area. With dancers and DJ crews representing ballroom, housing, bonebreaking, flexing, Bruk Up, and Jersey club dancing, the event captured a diverse and eclectic collection of styles from across multiple generations.

It was a whirlwind night with spitfire performances one after another, and a truly rare honor to be in the same building with Hot 97 DJ Bobby Konders, New York house hero Todd Terry, Jersey club pioneers Mike Q and DJ Sliink, plus legendary dancers like Leiomy Prodigy and Cricket. We sent our photographer Kaitlin Parry AKA Shoot People to get in on the action and she came back with this gallery of goodies for us. Plus, we made her get fun facts about every person she photographed, so there's that.
