Embrace The Metallic Apocalypse In Egyptrixx's Multimedia Piece "A/B Til Infinity"

The Night Slugs-signed producer released a video with Andreas Nicolas Fischer that's filled with tasteful doom

The music by Toronto-based producer Egyptrixx (ne David Psutka) can enact a sense of doom. His sonic motifs are sharp and polished, yet also impending, bleak, and cacophonous--as if you were at an elaborate rave designed by the Wachowski Brothers where the walls slowly closed in on the party.

The musician's metallic, Armageddon-friendly techno has been a staple of UK label Night Slugs for years, and it released Egyptrixx's excellent sophomore LP, A/B Til Infinity, this past November.

To complement the release, Egyptrixx has paired with multimedia artist Andreas Nicolas Fischer to create a visual partner for the album with Ax//s.

The clip is a two minute journey into a crystalline, polymorphic reef of sorts. The camera slowly rolls over red mountains and volcanic caves that ripple and quake, making a journey towards an apocalyptic sun. Sonorous ringing sounds spark the idea that the viewer is about to reach his demise, or something wholly unknown.

According to the project site, the musician and artist focused on "meaning-through-reduction principles applied to both sound and video – with atmosphere, repetition and texture given priority over traditional ideas of narrative and song structure." Sounds pretty accurate to us.

Fischer also created an audio/visual live set for the Egyptrixx world tour that furthers Ax//s which can be watched below. Watching this clip in a live setting could undoubtedly yield some perception-heightening glory.

Fischer and Egyptrixx also collaborated in 2011 for video ["Start from The Beginning."](http:// https://vimeo.com/16660444) Egyptrixx may be abrasive, but he certainly knows how to capture an audience's attention. Who knew that impending doom could look so cool?
