Google around for VAVLT BOYZ (pron. "vault boys") and the first result that pops up is "luxury trap." Now correct me if I'm wrong, but etymologically speaking, the word trap comes from being "trapped" in the "trap house" with a bunch of "gang bangers" and/or "cops" who want to "kill you" and/or take your "money." There's even a "trap door" to get in, and a "trap car" where you can store your drugs. Luxury is a macro-vegan five-course meal atop the Burj Khalifa; it is a day off of work spent drinking mimosas in Dolores Park. Luxury is not baggies, rubber bands, and Hot Pockets in a heavily alarmed crack house in the hood. But, you know—semantics.VAVLT BOYZ have managed to reconcile this strange oxymoron with a series of chic Luxury Trap parties in a former bank vault and a buzzy mixtape series of the same name. Our friends at The Overthrow cherry-picked this Atlanta duo, made up of Heroes x Villiains' Daniel Disaster and the city's all-around Minister of Culture Blkkmorris, for this week's entry in the LIL DEATH mix series. Their mix for us is more luxury than trap, and definitely all goth-y electro goodness, so strap on your leather, break out the eyeliner, and prepare to enter the dungeon. The dungeon. Not the trap. The dungeon.Tracklist:Parallel Jalebi - Four TetNight Talk - Saturated Ft.
