From June 12 - 28, independent gallery Slow Culture is proudly demonstrating Lights Out, an exhibition described as “a black light group show & pop-up shop curated in collaboration with art collective known as Brain Dead," bringing together 22 different artists from all over the world, including Hisham Bharoocha, and Amanny Ahmad, who all share the same focus—creating pieces that use UV-sensitive materials. The result is hallucinatory-yet-compelling expedition into the hi-fi world of black light art.Brain Dead's stimulating pieces are inspired by a mix of “psychedelic artwork and underground black light culture,” the show's event page says. To bring out the wall works, Slow Culture has converted “the lighting in the gallery to an all black light system special for the show." As for the pop-up side of the exhibition, Brain Dead have added that they will also be “releasing new & exclusive product throughout the duration of the show.” On display for the next 12 days, there’s really no good reason to stay in the dark.Check out some images from the show below:See more of Brain Dead's work on Twitter.Related:UV Light Reveals a Constellation of Invisible Ink IllustrationsColored Thread and UV Lights Form Captivating Augmented SpacesNeon Paint Experiment Visualized High Speed Ferrari Physics
