June Miller and Mefjus Soundtrack the Most Brutal Food Fight Ever

You'll never look at mustard the same way again.

Dutch duo June Miller's recently released Ups and Downs EP on Ram Records is a departure from the rowdy drum & bass they're known for. Sure, "Bad Brains" brings the ruckus, but tracks like "The Promise Ring" and the titular cut are equally influenced by house and R&B as much as anything else. Track three, though, made with Austrian badman Mefjus and titled "Saus," is one of the most jarring displays of hard-nosed headfuckery we've ever had the pleasure of being bowled over by. It's gobsmackingly intense. We spent the five minutes of its duration trying to figure out whether to laugh, skank, or cry. In the end, we managed all three at once.

Around the one minute mark of the tune, you know you're in for something heavy, but what proceeds sounds like sounds like a nuclear bomb having an aneurysm. When the trio sat down and thought of ways to translate that heaviness into visual form, there was obviously only one answer: A food fight. The video for the track, of which we've got the exclusive, chronicles a back alley beatdown, except the weapons are baguettes and fruit and condiments galore. Check it out:

After a good, long look at the video, we figured out that there's a message here: When the mechanical alien overlords finally show up, our differences won't mean shit because we'll all be dead and covered in mustard. Might as well be nice to each other now. Isn't that heartwarming?
