Wolfhaus Just Blessed Us with a Dubbed and Screwed Mix

Unlike their party-loving label counterparts at Top Billin, Finnish duo Wolfhaus are into dark vibes and emotions—mostly of the glum variety. Or, as they put it, "we like to keep things deep and purple." Their boundary-busting style, which they've flaunted in a series of "Dubbed and Screwed" mixes, is exactly what it sounds like—big subs, slowed-down samples straight out of Memphis, huge delays, and staggered kick drums.

Both parts of Wolhaus—Marked Man and Miro—have been in the Top Billin family since its inception (Marked Man also flexes his production muscles for local hip-hop acts like the very excellent Finish/Nigerian Noah Kin). So we could think of no better candidates for the final leg of Top Billin's run on THUMP. Their dexterous mix of deep, spacey beats from Jam City, Lotic, Spvce, and beyond goes out to UK bassheads and Southern rap lords alike.
