Iberia's Una Bèstia Incontrolable Deliver More Mid-Paced Punk Greatness

Catalan punks Una Bèstia Incontrolable work within mid-paced and brooding hardcore with a slight anarcho touch. This is deep and meditative music that lurches and rolls.

Their latest album Metamorfosi follows the 2014 "New World" single on Iron Lung and continues an experimental and almost psychedelic take on modern punk. Rather than flat out speed, the four-piece build momentum through repetition and atmospheric riffs.

Like previous albums the striking artwork comes courtesy of guitarist Guillem el Muro and the general mood and sound is dour and grim, but also utterly amazing. .

Listen to "No Us Ho Esperàveu" below and you can half imagine the band hanging out at Crass' Dial House sometime in 1982 on some kind of Barcelona/Essex anarcho punk rock exchange program.
