Tuff Wax's Strict Face Drops Club-Ready Lullabyes

For the nightclub of your dreams...dreams....dreams.

The tracklist to Strict Face's "Marble Isles" reads like a map to the game Myst, which is fitting because speaking to Strict Face is an adventure puzzle of it's own. When I asked him how he ended up on Lockah's roster of left-field dreamwonk peddlers at Tuff Wax, this was his response:

"Yoin saved me from a pack of kelpies when I found myself in deep waters over in Aberdeen sometime in 2011. We kept in touch and somehow he snuck me in to the Tuff Towers a year later, where I met Bones (rocking a Hugh Hefner robe with cat in tow), Money (converting people into Morfo'd nightmares) and a gold tooth-brandishing Lockah (chowing down on some hacked ramen). For whatever strange reason, Big Poppa Lockah took a shining to my music and here we are, sitting in my room trying to dispel the myth that mondegreens to Will Sparks tunes are the only thing we can sing along to. I love Lockah, but I kinda wish he'd kept that gold tooth on for at least a couple more months…"

Feel free to read this over to yourself as you put Strict Face's track "New Moonlight' on repeat. "Someone told me that they couldn't really get down to this track in the club," he explains. "But I don't see why you couldn't crunch sums to it."
