L.I.E.S. Mark Their 50th Release With Randomer's Latest Beast, 'Huh'

It's a scuzzy wonder that's left us reeling.

UK producer Randomer's latest cut 'Huh' is a cruel beast. It talks like techno but walks like electro; like a pilled-up 'Planet Rock', or a B-boy Jeff Mills, its clipped rhythms are stretched into locomotive techno grooves, and re-packaged in the corrosive, martial stripes of classic Detroit techno. No small feat, huh.

Randomer has been releasing crunching techno and house jams for labels such as Hemlock, Turbo and Numbers since 2008, but it feels as if 'Huh' is about to mark a real moment for him. It's one of those tracks which are as fun to dance to as they are to chat about, such are the endless mysteries of the Londoner's seamless, hybrid job. It also marks a milestone for the scuzzy L.I.E.S Records too, as 'Huh' is the New York label's 50th release. That they chose such a monumental cut as ' Huh' to mark such the occasion seems no coincidence.
