This New Vlek Release Made Me Break A Promise I Made To Myself

Download an addictive bonus track from Belgian stalwart Lawrence Le Doux's new EP.

The brake on my bike needs to be replaced, and I'm trying to save up for a new pair of trainers, but here I am about to order another slab of vinyl—despite the promise I made to myself not to buy any new records. This one, the most recent release from Belgian label Vlek, comes from Brussels producer Lauren Baudoux. Over the past two decades, Baudoux has tried on a number of monikers—Sun OK Papi K.O., RBDX, and Fan Club Orchestra to name a few—and his latest offering arrives under the banner Lawrence Le Doux. The Terrestre EP is full of itchy house beats with simple basslines and gentle, psychedelic instrumentation, and you can stream it right here. He's also sent along a dreamy little bonus cut, "Terrestre Outtake," which features a soft kick drum peppered with cute bleep bloops, a slightly off time wood block, and synths that waver drunkenly.
