Dig the 80s Funk Vibe on Riton and Irfane's "The Same"

Who doesn't love synth drums? English OG Riton channels Chaka Khan on this new funky pop jam with French singer Irfane, whom you may know from appearances on Breakbot classics like "Baby I'm Yours." The single is from Riton's forthcoming EP on France's most iconic dance music label, Ed Banger—of Justice and Busy P fame—who seem to be breathing their third wind recently with new records from Cashmere Cat, Mr. Oizo, Laurent Garnier, and Boston Bun, to name a few.

The Bad Guy RiRi EP (lol), as the always-cheeky Riton is calling it, is a four-tracker out on May 26, and the rest of the record stays closer to chunky, French electro à la Gessafelstein—with a cameo from Philadelphia comeback kid Spank Rock, who graces "a cold beat with a soulful voice," as RiRi puts it. Allons danser, y'all.
