Volumes Festival 2016 is creeping up, slowly slowly. This weekend, Oxford Square in Sydney will become a hub of music and art. With a line up so big it's practically unquotable—head here for the full thing in all its glory—this year's Volumes is shaping up to be one unmissable event.

In anticipation, we reached out to some of the artists on this year's bill, and asked them to remix two other Volumes artists. Today on THUMP we premiere two remixes.

Nite Fleit — Xanga's "Boom Boom Boom"

Sydney DJ Nite Fleit (Alysha Fleiter) has been making a name for herself as a key figure in "forcing people to dance" for over two years. Once one half of DJ duo Lady Shave, Nite Fleit has since carved out a career on her own, spoken out actively against Sydney's lockout laws, and recently announced a move back to Melbourne to continue her epic work with DJ and production.

Today, we premiere "Boom Boom Boom (Nite Fleit Techno Factory Reset)." Catch her at The Cliff Dive stage at Volumes Festival, Saturday Night, 6pm.

Xanga also plays The Cliff Dive stage on Saturday, at 5.20pm.

Hubert Clarke Jnr — Babicka's "We Don't Need All Night"

A long-time staple in Sydney's electronic scene, DJ and dub-house producer Hubert Clarke Jnr dropped his Al Dente EP earlier this year, to a fair amount of praise and thanks. And ever since he was announced as an artist at Volumes, we've been patiently waiting.

Ahead of the weekend, he remixed Untzz figurehead Babicka's "We Don't Need All Night." You can see Hubert Clarke Jnr on The Cliff Dive stage, Saturday night, at 7.45pm.

Babicka plays the THUMP stage at The Burdekin, Saturday night at 10pm.

Great news for THUMP readers: you can grab exclusive discounted tickets for Volumes Friday night. Click here for more details. This offer only lasts until 00:00 26 August, 2016.
