German producer Boys Noize (born Alex Ridha) released his fourth solo album Mayday a couple of weeks ago on his own Boysnoize Records, and today he stopped by the THUMP offices for a brief chat about the record and everything else he's been up to of late. In addition to sharing stories about Prince and his airbrushed Larry Levan shirt, Ridha let it slip that the celebratory closing track "Birthday" (featuring Hudson Mohawke and Spank Rock) is set to receive a remix soon courtesy midwest rappers Danny Brown and Pell.

Brown and Ridha previously collided back in 2014, when Boys Noize offered up a remix of Brown's Old track "Smokin and Drinkin." There's no release date yet set for that remix, but it's easy to imagine how the rapper's nasally vocals could add another level to the already vibrant track.

In the meantime, watch THUMP's full Facebook Live interview with Ridha below alongside the original version of "Birthday."
