Drink In the Desert’s Barren Beauty in Bonobo’s “Break Apart” Video

The latest preview for the producer’s upcoming album, ‘Migration.’

Last month, British producer Simon Green, a.k.a. Bonobo, announced a new album, Migration, was on the way. After sharing its lead single, "Kerala," Green has offered up a music video for another of the LP's tracks, "Break Apart."

"Break Apart," which features Los Angeles-based duo Rhye, is minimal and melancholic in its delivery, making its barren desert backdrop especially fitting. The video, which was directed by Neil Krug (whose previous film experience includes similarly nature-filled videos for Boards of Canada), is built entirely of scaling landscape shots, from the textured depths of rocky mountains and canyons to flat, bush-patched plains. Watch it above.

Previously, Green described Migration as a "study of people and spaces," adding that his personal sense of identity played a large role in its theme. "It's interesting how one person will take an influence from one part of the world and move with that influence and affect another part of the world," he said. "Over time, the identities of places evolve."

Migration will be released on January 13, 2017 via Ninja Tune.
