Friendships Return With Primal Beats And Deadly Dub On Their Killer New Single

Melbourne audio visual duo return with some dangerously good new sounds

Friendships is the collaborative audio/visual project of Nicholas Brown and Misha Grace. Having followed their creative journeys closely, we've learned to expect the unexpected. Every element of their music and video work is alive with movement, shifting between chaos and calm on a single beat. There's a tense, coiled energy on their new single "When I Feel Like Killing, I Murder". You can hear traces of dub, early rave and jungle, with some modern beat science thrown in. You can also taste the fear.

THUMP is pleased to have first listen of the song, and some words from Nicholas himself about the new track.
Nicholas Brown: It's a sonic representation of an urban animal. Under a suit and tie are basic primal demands; moving, eating, loving and killing. I wanted to create a rhythmic skeleton that is texturally organic with natural bump and groove, then lay over an industrial mass of jarring body and fat.
