Sugar Mountain Announce Secret Club Called Studio 45

Absolut Nights will present a warehouse party featuring Andee Frost and more as part of the Melbourne festival.

If you thought the 2017 edition of Sugar Mountain couldn't get any better, then listen up: a secret club called Studio 45 will be hidden within the VCA grounds, waiting to be discovered by the most dedicated partiers at next year's festival.

As part of Absolut Nights, a worldwide series that encourages typical nightlife to reinvent itself in creative and artistic ways, the club will embrace the introduction of augmented reality in Sugar Mountain's January program by requiring an AR experience using the festival's app to hunt down its exclusive location.

The music lineup will feature a parade of DJs like local hero Andee Frost spinning one of his groovy disco sets, Whiskey Houston and her time-travelling tunes, Kate Miller and her diverse, ever-evolving mixes, as well as two international acts to be announced on the day. On the other hand, visual artist Kit Webster will provide dimension-shifting light installations around the specially-built, curated warehouse space.

Be on the lookout for Studio 45 at next year's Sugar Mountain Festival, on Saturday January 21. Tickets available here.
