The new remix single features remixes from Murlo and Strict Face. Richard released "Wake Up," the first single off of her upcoming third solo album, Redemptionheart. Machinedrum produced the single for Richard. The two have collaborated in the past, including on Richard's early 2016 "Not Above That," and on "Do It 4 U," a single from Machinedrum's latest album.

Richard's Redemptionheart is the third in a trilogy that originally began with 2013's Goldenheart and 2015's Blackheart.
