Telling the Truth Through L.I.E.S. — The Elusive Genius of Terekke

The legendary Brooklyn producer is bringing his mysterious techno and house sounds to Australia.

Terekke knows how to tell a story with his music. And like the best tales his tracks are rich in texture, filled with details, and keep you captivated to the end. A few years ago the producer caught the attention of Ron Morelli (founder of key record label L.I.E.S.) and a two-track white label quickly followed. His Yyyyyyyyyy EP was the next chapter, and soon global audiences were hooked by Terekke's narrative take on house and techno.

There's plenty of mystery in his morphing chords and hazy tape-worn beats, and the plot thickens when you consider Terekke also releases anonymously under other names. The latest record on Rush Hour — already sold out — is listed simply as X by X.

It makes perfect sense that Heads With Tales are bringing Terekke out to Australia for a tour this April. The agency are close readers of electronic music and always know what happens next in this unfolding story. No spoilers, but all I can say is you don't want to miss Terekke at the incredible Inner Varnika festival this Easter weekend, or a venue near you over the next month.

Friday, April 3rd – Melbourne, Inner Varnika
Friday, April 10th – Adelaide, Ancient World
Saturday, April 11th – Melbourne, Lounge
Friday, April 17th – Brisbane, The Underdog
