An 18 year-old woman has died in her tent at BoomTown Fair music festival in Winchester, despite the best efforts of paramedics to save her. The teenager from Buckinghamshire was found unconscious at around midday on Monday, the Guardian reports.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire police has said: "Sadly, despite efforts from paramedics and the on-site doctor, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious but investigations are ongoing on behalf of the coroner. Officers continue to work closely with BoomTown organizers, and witnesses and friends who were at the event are being supported. Next of kin have been informed."

This also comes after the festival was also plagued by a massive fire on its opening day—a blaze that destroyed 80 cars and led to the evacuation of the festival's campsite.
