Ahead of the release of a new EP under yet another alias, House Of Dad, Melbourne's András (Andras Fox, Andy Wilson, etc) has gifted us with a mix titled "MaRRRibyrnong," in support of the independently-run RRR's Radiothon. The Radiothon is the station's annual subscription drive that funds over half of the operations for the following twelve months and is essentially a week's worth of celebration for the volunteer broadcasters, diverse programming, the subscribers and the stations independence.András has been a busy man as of late, outside of his amazing work for Radiothon, with a current European tour, and North American shows coming up, the DJ and producer has also found the time to write and record his new EP titled House Of Dad. H.O.D. will be the first release on his new record label which'll be under the same moniker. The new EP was recorded in his family's suburban home and is said to be a project that's both a dedication of love, and a constructive criticism, from the man-cave dwelling "Entrance to The Garage," to the blissful reflection of a job well done with tracks "Stereo Dunnies" and "Roof Metal Corrosion," before the working week comes to a knock off with "POETS Day." House Of Dad takes a very blokey approach to a music scene that has previously steered clear of such a culture.This year RRR are celebrating their 40th year as a community radio station. Considering they are a not-for-profit, independent and solely listener-funded station, that's a pretty great achievement. Now Australia's largest community station, with almost half a million weekly listeners, their annual Radiothon, spanning 9 days from mid to late August, has more to offer this year than ever before.
