Joshua Delaney Gets More Ambient Still as OCDANTAR with "Time In Flux"

Listen to the premiere of the Melbourne-based producer's solo debut here.

Josh Delaney is a man of many ventures. Once-bass player for Chet Faker, Delaney has spent the time since building a mammoth and genre-spanning body of work; playing bass in alt-rock band SMILE, whose record Rhythm Method was released earlier this month, and playing frontman in sort-of post-rock electronic group Rat & Co, whose first two records were, frankly, a delight.

Now, with his properly-solo project OCDANTAR, Delaney is chartering new but not totally unfamiliar waters with "Time In Flux", a seven-track ambient debut that sounds like Burial at times, and Portishead at others–thanks to some seriously soothing vocals from LIAHONA.

"Time In Flux is about time forever changing." Delaney told THUMP. "The EP was written over 6 years, each year with its own set of thoughts, ideals and emotions. These songs are translating the inner dialogue of my mind."

A beautiful debut, OCDANTAR's "Time In Flux" is out tomorrow on Smooch Records, and premieres exclusively on THUMP today.
