And stay for the remarkable story of its creation.

Lockah is Tom Banks, and Tom Banks is a multi-talented music mind from Aberdeen. He's a DJ, producer, label founder and an electronic music
ambassador. Following numerous releases across a range of genres, last year the influential Donky Pitch label issued his debut album Yahoo Or The Highway. They're about to drop the follow-up EP And Blue Brindle Too, a 5-track tribute to the dancefloor destroying boogie jams of the '80s, with a rave and R&B twist.

Fortunately for Australia Tom's bringing his signature synth-funk, club hip hop and electronic pop sounds to Australia for a rare tour. And if you're in Melbourne get ready for a full Donky Pitch invasion when labelmates Ghost Mutt and Grinel bring their playful R&B and serious bass tracks along for a showcase gig at Lounge.

To help prepare, Lockah has generously provided the exclusive, unreleased "Hard Lemonade Swing My Door", available to stream

Turns out amongst everything else Lockah is an excellent story-teller and had this to say about the song:
Lockah: I was having a gear clearout and I sold this thing called the Jomox T-Resonator, a weird box of tricks that was something like an analogue delay, reverb and chorus filter module. To be honest all I really used it for was to add some weird sound effects to my music and to make drums sound gnarly and also phat. Anyway, I needed the money for some other pointless bit of hardware, so I put it on Gumtree. This weird guy phoned up and was coming round to collect, so I thought I'd set it up and get it sounding nice to show it off. I started riffing those creamy leads right off my synth and they were too good to forget so I started recording them and layering more mad ideas. The guy came round and he was really tall and smelled awful. He tried to haggle with me so I let him have a tenner off, which I didn't mind because I listed it for a good chunk above what I paid for it. The whole process took so long that I missed my trip to the pool with Donky Pete, which really got my goat. Anyway, I freed up a bit of cash, and got some last minute inspiration and laid down the joint. The name is a double reference: when I was a teenager they had this cheap alcopop called "Mike's Hard Lemonade" that they reduced in Asda to 25p a bottle, and I drank a lot of that. I'm 30 this year. Time has really flown! The second part of the name is a crazy Gucci Mane song, which you've got to find on Youtube. It's supposedly had the "bass boosted" by a world class audio engineer and as a result it sounds like absolute shit every time the kick drum comes in. I wanted to put that same offensive kick drum into this joint and have it dominate the whole track. The result is kinda trippy and fun. This is one from the weird Lockah archives 'cos the tempo is really removed from what I'd typically work with. Hope you enjoy it!
