Serge Devant Kicks Off Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' New Emerald City Label with Brooding Video

"Fearing Love" comes correct with some serious 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' vibes.

Serge Devant is probably smiling right now. Not only did the NYC-bred house producer and DJ just achieve the supremely honorable feat of being the debut release on a brand-new record label, but that new label, Emerald City, happens to belong to Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, two of the unabashedly so-hot-right-now names in house music.

Sharpening his vinyl in New York City's post Paradise Garage-Studio 54 clubbing heyday with sets at rave havens like Tunnel and Limelight, Devant honed in on what would become his respected dynamic sound. Fast forward to the current day as a forced hiatus due to an injury gave Devant the kick in the ass to slightly revamp his sound to something different, a style of which slips gracefully into the framework of Jamie and Lee's stylistic focus. The result of this all is a brooding (yet still totally pumping) house track, the production of which is brought to life with a vocal performance by Camille Safiya. Along with the debut release, is a new video which take some strong cues from the forever trippy Michel Gondry directed drama, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

To bring the label kick-off to even higher levels of awesome, Jamie and Lee themselves will offer up a remix on the record's B-side.
