Timelines: Deep Dish

From Chicago-style pizza to a house-fueled reunion.
A DJs career can span decades, outlasting technological advances, new genres and presidential terms. But in a world of endless SoundCloud updates and one-off remixes, career-defining moments are often lost in the fray. Here, we take you through the highlights. This week's subject: Deep Dish

Deep Dish is the unstoppable house-music-mastering duo of Ali "Dubfire" Sherazinia and Sharam Tayebi. After first meeting in Washington D.C., they joined forces to create a record label, work with Madonna and get nominated for a Grammy all within their first ten years together. The first Grammy win came soon after, along with a classic LP of dance music (2005's George Is On) and musical partnerships with everyone from Janet Jackson to Dido to Stevie Nicks. In 2006 the duo disbanded to work on solo careers. Earlier this year, they reunited for a single a mini-tour. Here are the highlights to get you all caught up.
