Damon Albarn calls the new Gorillaz album, Humanz (set to drop April 28) a "really dark party record," in a new interview with the New York Times.Albert told the newspaper when he starts a record, he imagines what the world is going to look like when it is released."So I just sort of imagined, what could fuel me, what fantasy could I really sort of find rich pickings from? And it was the fantasy of Donald Trump winning the election," Albarn said.Albarn's dark fantasy of a seemingly improbable Trump election has come to life, making Humanz particularly poignant. Still, that doesn't mean the collection of songs won't be enjoyable, as Albarn set out to make a party record, too.Albert also said the record is influenced in large part by Chicago house. "I've always loved being in Chicago," he said. "I've heard a lot of stories about growing up in Chicago.
