Nina Las Vegas Brings Her Stellar Selections Stateside

Nina Las Vegas has her finger on the pulse. As a Triple J radio host, DJ, and newly minted production whiz, the Aussie student-of-dance music knows what's up.

As she jets her way across the us, from CRSSD Festival in San Diego to SXSW in Austin to Miami Music Week, she's decided to give THUMP an inside look on what's hot and what's about to be hot. Check Nina's "Who I'm Watching" mix and get her take on all the artists she featured below:

Hi Tom - "Patron"
Out of Norway, Hi Tom is part of Norwegian collective Rytmeklubben. Considering Cashmere Cat and Lido are currently slaying, it's no surprise there is a lot of hype around this group of young producers… especially Hi Tom.

Joseph Marinetti - "LIPSYNC"
Joseph Marinetti is the member of the LuckyMe family who is looking after the next wave of happy hardcore sounds. His 2014 EP 'PSA' was so damn cool, I can't wait to hear what happens next.

Thy Slaughter - "Bronze"
The whole PC Music crew had a massive 2014, can't wait to hear what happens this year… especially with Thy Slaughter.

Strict Face - "In Evergreen"
Hailing from Adelaide, Strict Face is getting a lot of love from all over the globe following the release of his In Evergreen EP last year. Thick, sonic production that I wanna hear over and over and over again.

T_A_M - "Damned If I Do"
I get so many promos every day, it's super hard to stay on top of them. However, there are a few names that always grab my eye and T_A_M is one of them!

Victoria Kim - "Kiko Kicks" (Air Max '97 Remix)
The now Sydney-based producer Victoria Kim teamed up with Melbourne boy Air Max '97 on this track. Two exciting Australian producers pushing a new, tough, club sound!

Chillax - "Southern Lights" (poolboy92's Club Warrant)
SoundCloud can be so overwhelmingly dull sometimes, making it so cool to hear stuff like this poolboy92 remix JUMP OUT and make you wanna dance. Can't wait to hear more!

Swick & Lucid - "Rubber"
I strongly believe that Swick is one of the most forward thinking Australian producers. Making music since his was 15, the now 22 year-old is final getting the notice he deserves. Watch this space. I also feel the same way about Lucid, with damn fine club releases out on Pelican Fly already, he's only going to get bigger. Add all that together and the result is next level production on this collaboration.

lilangelboi - "Other Side Of Luv <3"
I dunno anything about lilangelboi except that he speeds up tracks, making them a million times cooler than before. Don't even know if he'll ever make anything original, but the idea deserves a shout out.

Swick & Lewis Cancut - "Wishes" (Feat. Tkay Maidza)
2015 is the year of Tkay Maidza! Only 19, this Adelaide can rap as fast as Twista and sing better than anyone else I know.

inkke featuring Novelist - "Mmm Yeah"
Grime is getting realllllly trendy right now. Kanye and Drake both shouting out Skepta and Wiley, the scene is on a real high. Another MC who is really killing the game right now is Novelist, and this flow on Scottish producer Inkke's beat really proves why everyone wants to work with him.

Henrik The Artist - "Naked"
Sydney producer (s/o!) Basenji showed me Henrik a few months ago and I've been in love ever since. Oh, and you should check out his social media vibe… it's impressively polite!

Dro Carey featuring Chocolate & Kid Kairo - "Monomiles"
Also making music as Tuff Sherm, Sydney producer Dro Carey nailed his debut release on Greco-Roman. So excited for the hype to build around this one.

Brodinski featuring ILoveMakonnen & Yung Gleesh - "Interviews"
Years in the making, Brodinski has finally released his debut LP, Brava. Not only is this record going to cement Brodinski's place in the rap world, he's also working with some of the freshers rappers… for example, ILoveMakonnen & Yung Gleesh who feature on this track.

Charli XCX featuring Rita Ora - "Doing It" (A. G. Cook Remix)
SOPHIE and A.G. Cook still get my attention every time time I see they put out a track or remix. This one really got me.

Lido - "Lost" (HEAVYxMELLOW Remix)
Lido is a stupidly impressive instrumentalist, singer and producer… this remix by the young HEAVYxMELLOW really took the already beautiful track somewhere else.
