Just last month, the Norwegian-born superproducer Cashmere Cat shared "Wild Love," the Weeknd-featuring title track from his forthcoming debut album. Today, he's back with another single with even more firepower backing him up. "Trust Nobody" features Selena Gomez—she of former Disney Channel stardom and now a pop chart destroyer in her own right—and Tory Lanez, one of R&B's lithe-voiced rising stars.

Somehow though, like on "Wild Love," he's able to keep his guests from stealing the show. "Trust Nobody" is built around a series of subtly elastic synth lines that play a little lighter than the dusky sounds he's usually working with on his solo material. It's an interestingly buoyant counterpoint for the shadowy love song that Gomez and Lanez spin over the top, which is just about as paranoid and conflicted as the title might suggest. It's co-written by Staree and features some production help from Benny Blanco—whose label Mad Love will release Wild Love—and Frank Dukes. Listen below or over on Spotify or Apple Music.
