10 Can’t-Miss Acts at Digital Dreams: Day 2

If you thought day one of Digital Dreams was nuts, just wait until you see our list of can’t-miss acts for day two.

We are now less than three weeks away from Digital Dreams and frankly, the wait is killing us. Are you one of the 80,000 people attending Canada's largest electronic music festival? If for some reason you haven't picked up your tickets yet, grab them here and do it quickly because tickets are now 75 percent sold out.

What can you expect at this epic, two-day extravaganza? For starters, check out our list of 10 Can't-Miss Acts At Digital Dreams: Day One. Got that covered? Great. Now, let's move on to Day 2.

1. Eric Prydz
Dreams Stage

The Man. The Myth. The Legend. If you haven't seen the prodigious prophet of progressive house (we're talking about real progressive house) then Eric Prydz should be number one on your list for day two. In fact, he should be on the top of the list regardless. Expect the light show to be otherworldly, and the track selection and mixing—including a handful of unreleased edits and VIPs—to be even better. We're getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

2. Dash Berlin
Dreams Stage

Get your boxes of Kleenex ready, because trance legend Dash Berlin is going to make the collective masses cry like a bunch of newborn babies. Fans who attended last year's festival can attest to his impressive live setup and tear jerking, hands-in-the-air track selection. What's more, Dash has a brand new album coming out this summer, so expect to hear a bevy of unreleased tunes.

3. Dzeko & Torres
Dreams Stage

We'd be remiss if we forgot to show some love to Toronto's own Dzeko & Torres. 2013 was a massive year for the big room duo as they scored a slew of top 10 hits, including a release on Tiesto's coveted Musical Freedom label, and 2014 is shaping up to be even bigger. Get to the Dreams Stage early in the day and watch them throw down a raucous and rambunctious set full of electro and big room bangers.

4. Luciano
Echo Beach Stage

While Tiesto may be getting all the mainstream attention as the closer for the Dreams Stage, we here at THUMP are more excited to watch the Swiss-Chilean DJ known as Luciano. As darkness descends upon the Echo Beach Stage, expect him keep the party rocking until the final minute of Digital Dreams with his own atmospheric style of techno.

In Luciano's own words, "I don't do music to be recognized. I do it because it's necessary for me. My only ambition is to stay close to what I love." We couldn't agree more.

5. Destructo
Echo Beach Stage

Get higher baby! The HARD events founder of electro and tech is altogether too boisterous to put into words. Just make sure to get your ass to Echo Beach if you want to have one hell of a ride.

6. Jay Lumen
Echo Beach Stage

You might have never heard of Hungarian producer Jay Lumen, but trust: after watching his set on Sunday you won't be forgetting the name anytime soon. Jay has scored several big releases on international labels such as Drumcode and Saved, and his groovy style of tech house is the perfect compliment to the sandy shores of Echo Beach.

7. Excision
Bacardi House of Boom: Andy C Presents RAM

You can't have a House of Boom without face-melting bass music, and for our money, few people can even claim to go as hard as Kelowna, BC's Excision. Although he remains one of the filthiest dubstep producers in the game, Excision has recently branched out and incorporated several different genres into his sets, so get ready to hear a heavy dose of trap, drumstep and electro too. If you're looking to practice having a seizure on the dance floor, this is the guy you need to see.

8. Andy C
Bacardi House of Boom: Andy C Presents RAM

The Toronto Rave Community would have our heads if we omitted the one and only Andy C, but to tell you the truth, his extraordinary talent speaks for itself. The world-renowned RAM Records founder is not only an award-winning DJ, he also happens to be a fantastic producer. If you weren't a fan of drum and bass before, you will be after watching his set. Don't miss it.

9. Art Department
No. 19 Social Experiment

Toronto's legendary sons return home to headline their own stage, and we couldn't be happier. Although they are no strangers to controversy, expect their set on Sunday to be all about the music and the fans. Their stage might not have the gloss and glamour of the Dreams Stage, but you would be doing yourself a disservice if you skipped out on the action at the No. 19 Social Experiment Stage.

10. Green Velvet
No. 19 Social Experiment

Speaking of legendary DJs, few—if any—would argue against the inclusion of Green Velvet on such a list. Techno, tech house, Chicago house; he does it all and more. We saw Green Velvet throw it down at Movement Detroit last month (we also gave him a camera to mess around with), and if that set is any indication, you're in for an unforgettable experience.
