To the dismay and surprise of many, Digital Dreams has decided to cancel Day 1 of their 2015 weekend. Citing the "interest of public safety and to protect fans, artists, and staff," the festival will resume on Sunday for Day 2 at 2 PM.

The festival has gone live on their social media channels to announce that Day 1 tickets will be valid on Day 2. Tickets for Saturday's performances will be refunded in full, from the point of purchase, says Live Nation. Weekend passes will be refunded at 50 percent of their value, as well as being valid for Sunday use.

Although fans won't be reimbursed for money and time spent organizing hotels, transportation, work vacancies and other issues, safety is the first priority says DD staff. Digital Dreams will just have to seek to rectify the weekend, starting with tonight's afterparty featuring Steve Angello and Carl Cox and more at the Sound Academy—and Day 2….hopefully.
