D∆WN Taps Machinedrum For Production Duties On Single "Not Above That"

A cut from her forthcoming album RED*emp*tion

Former Diddy collaborator and Dirty Money member Dawn Richard continues her evolution as the afro-futuristic rapper and singer D∆WN.

Last year she released Blackheart, the second LP in a trilogy that began with Goldenheart. Now she's gearing up part III: RED*emp*tion. D∆WN's first single from the album, the dark and verbose "Hollywould," dropped late last year. Now she has released "Not Above That," the second single from the album, and a much energetic track than the introspective "Hollywould" produced none other than by Machinedrum. Stream it below.

D∆WN has also announced a short spate of spring tour dates including appearances at SXSW and Moogfest:

3/12: New York, NY - Webster Hall
3/14: Washington DC - DC9
3/17: Austin, TX - SXSW
4/21: Minneapolis, MN - Cedar Cultural Center
4/22: Chicago, IL - Reggies
5/02: Durham, NC - Moogfest
