In one of the most unusual developments of the year, bro-y production duo The Chainsmokers have added both Lady Gaga and Mark Ronson to their list of critics.Earlier this month, the two started a mini-feud with Lady Gaga when, in an interview with Rolling Stone, band member Alex Pall said, "It sucks," about the pop star's single "Perfect Illusion."Gaga responded to the comment with a tweet to the duo.

The tweet linked to Gaga's new single, "A-YO," which includes the lines, "I can't wait to smoke them all, whole pack like Marlboro / Blow it in your face." Many online considered the direct tweet to the Chainsmokers as sarcasm on Gaga's part. The duo almost immediately responded to Gaga's tweet, effectively diminishing the feud.
However, the two appear to have refueled the tension. Late Friday night, they tweeted "And we're back," with a middle-finger emoji. Ronson responded to the tweet with a pointed critique of the duo's musicianship.
"Back to being the charisma-bypassed champions of 2 bar Ableton loops?" he tweeted. Ronson also linked to a page about safe investment tips, suggesting the two's reign won't last for long. And we're back ??

The two responded yesterday to Ronson's tweet, claiming their tweet was only about being back in the United States. Their explanation however does not explain why a middle-finger emoji was used with the original tweet.Back to being the charisma-bypassed champions of 2 bar Ableton loops? Well, smash it while it lasts, fellas!! P.S. — Mark Ronson (@MarkRonson)October 29, 2016
