Glacier Raving Is Coming to Iceland This Summer

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Artwork are DJing the world's first party in a glacier.

Glaciers: fun to look at, even more fun to party inside. This is a theory that you'll test out if you decide to trek over to Iceland this summer for the world's first glacier rave. It's going down on June 20, with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Artwork as your DJs. Iceland's Secret Solstice festival is behind the event, but you don't need a festival pass to go.

Langjökull, Europe's second largest glacier, is where all of this is going down. You'll start by taking a coach bus from Reykjavík at midnight. Then, you'll hop into ice explorer vehicles previously used to transport rocket equipment for NASA, descend into the man-made cave, and take a guided tour. Just in case all of this sounds too touristy, rest assured: the night ends with a full-on dance party in a man-made tunnel under the ice.

Sound awesome? Duh. But there are only 70 tickets available, and they just went on sale today. This rave is real bucket-list material—provided your bucket list is full of places you wish you could party, like mine—so act fast.
