Toronto producer Eytan Tobin is one of the founding members of Bedroomer, a collective known for throwing weird, interdisciplinary art parties, and putting out diverse music from artists including Carson Teal, Hudson Alexander, Lum, and more.

After playing shows with acts including DJ Paypal, Humans, and more, he's finally releasing his debut EP 1990 this week, and today we're premiering his new song "Grind City." Opening with stormy sound effects, the track quickly condenses into a tight, footwork-influenced groove, punctuated by metallic percussion, stuttering vocals, and sweeping synth pads.

"1990 is my attempt at making some experimental footwork influenced stuff. "Grind City" is my full on nod to the Chicago originators, with a bit of a Toronto vibe," Tobin tells THUMP. "The genre basically changed my life, so I'm dedicating this one to them and everyone else out there making footwork. To the next life."
