HolloH Mark a Paradigm Shift in Modern House Music

"It was important to pay respect to our musical influences, but not wear them on our sleeves."

Young Lord, the debut EP from Toronto duo HolloH, was was an exploration of the darker side of techno; it thundered and thrashed, and reminded us that great techno doesn't have to come from Europeans who insist on the "right" way to pronounce "Prague." Don't think for a minute though that they're singing the same tune with their newest, self-titled, EP. HolloH revives elements of mid-90s house, breakbeat, and drum and bass in stunning fashion.

"Our main goal was to compose a loosely conceptualized EP without strict narrative guidelines," Nick tells us. "It was important to pay respect to our musical influences, but not wear them on our sleeves."

Don't be caught off guard by HolloH's avant-garde direction. Already a household name in Toronto's music circles, the two are meshing classic styles and planting seeds for the future of house music, and it's going to shoot them straight to the top.
