The Bunker New York announced today a new EP from THUMP guest mix alumnus Justin Cudmore, entitled Forget It. Picking up where he left off on his recent mix for the label, the Hotmix collective member—alongside NYC mainstays Mike Servito and Gunnar Haslam—here delivers a selection of deep, acidic cuts.Forget It explores different sets of textures on each of its two sides. "Forget It" and "Sweet Phantasy" each present takes on gliding fluidity, while "New Jack the House" and "Moment" are more rigid and aggressive. The release follows the artist's 2016 single "Crystal" on Honey Soundsystem Records; Servito's remix of that track made our list of the best tracks of 2016.Cudmore explained the creative process behind the EP in a press release. "I like old sounds but I don't think I sit down and necessarily try to make retro sounding tracks," he said. "When I sit down and improvise my only guide or rules is following a particular sound or vibe I've built in my head."Forget it will be released on vinyl and digital formats February 10 and is available for pre-order now.Forget It tracklist:1.
