On Zora Jones' remix of Sinjin Hawke's "Snow Blind," triumphant horns burst from their cocoon of delicate, fluttering choral vocals. The remix comes a week after the release of Sinjin Hawke's debut album First Opus, his first solo release since 2011. In the meantime, he's been busy producing songs on Kanye West's The Life of Pablo and taking on official remixes for the likes of Ludacris.

Having Jones share the first remix is a fitting compliment to the record—Jones and Hawke are co-founders of their audio-visual platform Fractal Fantasy. Jones gives the original some twitchy energy with fidgety drums, an impatient melodic refrain, and optimistic bells.

"The remix of 'Snow Blind' happened during the creation Sinjin's album," explained Jones in an email to THUMP. "I was trying out some ideas and we were both vibing to the alien feeling of these warped bells, but mutually agreed that they didn't fit on the album—so I decided to have a go at remixing the whole song with them."

Take a listen to the Zora Jones "Snow Blind" remix below. And you can check out First Opus on Soundcloud or as an audio/visual experience on the Fractal Fantasy website.
