Other People boss Nicolas Jarr, techno vanguardist Jeff Mills, трип label head Nina Kraviz, and Detroit stalwart Moodymann will headline the daytime portion of Amsterdam label and events company Dekmantel's first-ever festival in São Paulo. The nighttime lineup for the festival, which will take place from February 4-5, 2017, has not yet been announced. The event will beheld at a racetrack called The Jockey Club during the day, and and a former factory called the Fabriketa club at night.

Brazilian label and collective Gop Tun DJs will co-present the event. Meanwhile, Hessel Audio's Ben UFO, Hinge Finger honcho Joy Orbison, Cómeme affiliate Lena Willikens, and Brazilian composer Hermeto Pascoal are also set to perform. The entire day program is available on the festival's website.

Dekmantel co-founder Thomas Martojo spoke to RA about why they decided to do this festival. "We weren't necessarily looking to start a second Dekmantel Festival abroad, but after having spent lots of time with the Gop Tun crew, who not only produced a killer party, but also showed us around their beautiful city, I guess we just fell for it completely," he said. "São Paulo is in many ways completely the opposite of Amsterdam, which is also why we thought that in this city we could do a festival that's genuinely different from what we do in Amsterdam."

The event will mark the first time Dekmantel has done an event outside of its native Amsterdam, aside from the first Dekmantel Selectors festival in Croatia earlier this month.

Daytime tickets will go on sale Tuesday October 4; a limited number of early bird tickets will also be made available. Tickets for the nighttime portion will be available when that program is announced.
