Clear out your schedules for spring, the Red Bull Music Academy announced its Red Bull Music Academy Festival New York lineup today, and it's packed to the rafters with bleeding edge talent from across the dance and electronic music spectrum.

The festival—running from April 29-May 22—features a program of live performances, club nights, lectures, and workshops across the boroughs, putting the spotlight on some of today's most boundary-pushing artists, as well as paying homage to the genres and cultural moments that brought them to where they are now.

Highlights from the roster include: the world premiere of ANOHNI's live show for her new album Hopelessness; a showcase of the key players from Brooklyn's techno scene; a collaboration performance with NON's Chino Amobi, Nkisi, and Angel-Ho at the New Museum (the first time the three co-founders of the collective have been in the same room together); and a gospel house party in a decommissioned church in Brooklyn.

The festival, which runs from April 29-May 22, is the fourth straight year RBMA—a traveling series of music workshops and festivals—has made a stopover in New York. This year's edition pays particular respect to the city, by teasing out artists and themes from all its corners and showing them off in the some of New York's most prized, as well as off-kilter, music venues.

The festival's parties include a head-to-head from Amsterdam's Dekmantel and New York City's The Bunker for a night of dark, driving techno at Good Room on May 7, as well as an 80s freestyle throwback led by none other than Louie Vega and Jellybean Benitez on May 13. This is followed the next night by a celebration of Brooklyn techno from the musicians carving out its sound including DUST, Aurora Halal, Ital, Via App, Umfang, Volvox, Max McFerren, and Bookworms on May 14. Directly after NON's New Museum performance, there's a NON vs N.A.A.F.I. party, wherein the two geography-defying collectives will come together with likeminded producers Rabit, Elysia Crampton, and Gaika for a night of radical statements made through sound on May 20.

Closing out the whole festival on May 22 is a day party in a decommissioned Brooklyn church celebrating the connection between house music and gospel—Detroit techno pioneers Terrence Parker and Robert Hood (aka Floorplan, who's also a minister) will lead the dance music sermon, will help from DJ Pierre of Phuture, Ann Nesby of Sounds of Blackness, Slow To Speak's Paul Nickerson, and many more.

Dizzee Rascal will also make an appearance at the festival on May 6, performing his groundbreaking 2003 album Boy Da Corner in full for the firsttime

The festival programmers have also managed to include events on the intricacies of music production. Through a collaboration with Bell Labs, the Nobel Prize winning research and development company in New Jersey, RBMA will revive the spirit of the E.A.T. (Experiments and Art Technology) salons for their 50th anniversary. E.A.T. was nonprofit set up in the 60s by engineers from Bell Labs to facilitate collaborations between artists and engineers. RBMA will also host a producers roundtable and party featuring Atlantan hip-hop superproducers Metro Boomin, Sonny Digital, and, who will reveal their studio secrets.
