And The Funkiest Airline is...Mallard Air

Chromeo's Dave 1 and P-Thugg just became the prime equity holders in this new Canadian airline.

These days, it's simply not enough to just make music. Avicii had his own hotel—even if it was just for a week—Richie Hawtin has his protable subwoofer called SubPac, and now Chromeo has gone bigger than anyone before becoming the prime shareholders in the new Canadian airline, Mallard Air.

"When Mallard approached us about share acquisition, we thought it was a joke," said Chromeo frontman Dave 1, thinking much like us when we first heard the news. But Dave 1 and P-Thugg took it seriously enough to meet with the airline's engineers and venture capitalists, and ended up thinking the partnership "made total sense. Besides, our business managers always encouraged us to diversify our investments," he added. "For a band like us, this feels bold and new."

Dave 1 isn't even the first Macklovitch brother to enter the travel industry. Back in 2013, his brother A-Trak started the travel website Infinite Legroom, an extension of his extensive YouTube hotel reviews on. Now the brothers are a travel megateam.

"We spend our life on airplanes,"  P-Thugg said. "And there's always something wrong: from the uniforms to the business class menu, to the way they handle oversize baggage. Our association with Mallard will give us the opportunity to change that and to offer a travel experience the way we see it." If you previously thought Virgin Airlines and it's colorful lights was clublike, Chromeo are sure to completely funkify your in-flight entertainment.

Mallard already has ten hubs in the Midwest with three more in the Canadian Prairies making it a hot contender in the North American budget-conscious airlines game. Upon Chromeo's request, Mallard Air will also offer boutique service to Montreal, Minneapolis and Beirut in its newly acquired Airbus A3xx series fleet.

Joining the mile high club will now be referred to as bonafied lovin'.
